Air Covered Yarn

1.Soft Hand Feel – The air-jet interlacing creates a looser structure between the core yarn (e.g., spandex) and sheath fibers (nylon/ polyester), resulting in softer and bulkier texture compared to mechanical covered yarn.

2.Good and Uniform Elasticity – Minimal damage to spandex during air processing ensures excellent and consistent stretch and recovery.

3.Full Appearance & Low Hairiness – The interlaced structure reduces surface hairiness, giving a smooth, clean fabric surface with good coverage.

4.High Breathability – The open network structure creates micro-gaps, enhancing moisture absorption and air permeability of the fabric.

5.High Production Speed – Air covering lines run much faster (400–600 m/min) than mechanical covering, enabling high-volume production.

6.Lower Cost – Lower energy consumption and maintenance costs compared to hollow-spindle mechanical covering machines.

7. Reduced Yarn Slippage – The air interlacing points prevent relative movement between the core and sheath, improving structural stability.
