Classification of Air Covered Yarn

1. According to the number of covering layers, it can be divided into two types: single-covered yarn and double-covered yarn. Among them, nylon-spandex covered yarn and polyester-spandex covered yarn are mostly covered by single wrapping.

2. According to different equipment, it can be divided into two types: mechanical covered yarn and royal blue ACY air covered yarn.

Features of Spandex Covered Yarn

1. Air-covered yarn (abbreviated as acy) is a yarn in which the outer fiber filament and spandex yarn are drawn through a certain type of nozzle at the same time, and the rhythmic network point is formed by the regular spray pressure of high-compressed air. The fabric feels soft and smooth;

2. Mechanical covered yarn (abbreviated as scy in English) is to continuously rotate and wrap the outer fiber filament on the core silk spandex that is drawn at a constant speed. It is twisted to have a twist (abbreviated as tpm in English) Flat and crisp style is its main feature.

Air-covered yarn and mechanical-covered yarn have their own advantages and disadvantages in downstream weaving mills. Air-covered yarn generally needs sizing when warping on an air-jet loom, otherwise the fabric is prone to fluff and broken threads, but it can be used directly by beating up. In terms of cost alone, the production capacity of air-covered yarn is much higher than that of mechanical-covered yarn, which makes the price lower than that of machine bag, which is convenient to reduce the cost of downstream weaving mills.
