Polyester spandexcoveredyarn is an elastic composite yarn formed by taking spandex filament with a certain drafting multiple as the core and wrapping the polyester filament spirally outside the core filament through thecovering process. The composite yarn not only has the characteristics of wrapped polyester, but also has the good elasticity and recovery performance of spandex, which makes up for the defect of single component filament.

Difference

The difference between mechanical and air - covered yarns.

(Use 2070 as an example to make it easier to understand.)

1) Output:

The daily output of 2070 machine-covered yarn is about 80kg, while the daily output of 2070 air-covered yarn is about 1700kg.

2) Raw materials:

The mechanical covered yarn is composed of DTY and spandex, while the air covered yarn is composed of POY and spandex.

3) Price:

The price of machine-covered yarn is approximately 1/3 higher than that of air-covered yarn.

4) Equipment:

The equipment for mechanical covering yarn is different from that for air covering yarn.
