DTY: Draw texturing yarn.

Also known as polyester low elastic silk, it is the finished silk after continuous or simultaneous stretching and deformation processing on one machine.

FDY: fully drawn yarn.

It has nothing to do with the production process, but it is now widely spread, as the code of spinning and drawing - step process, can be used for low speed spinning, high speed drawing and winding, two processes in a spinning and drawing combined machine to complete, this production line has low production cost, stable quality of finished products, hair breakage less, good dyeing uniformity. DTY fibers are curly and FDY fibers are straight.


Advantages of DTY

1. Soft feel. In the textile process, DTY is a kind of silk thread material favored by many textile enterprises. In the process of use, it feels comfortable and has a soft luster, which can make the cloth comfortable and soft. This effect is mainly caused by the characteristics of polyester low-elasticity silk itself, so some cotton cloth or high-quality textile will use this material to weave.
2. High efficiency. DTY is a type of polyester chemical fiber deformable yarn and is processed with polyester slice as raw material. Therefore, in the process of processing, it has high efficiency and can be used for all kinds of knitting. It is an ideal raw material for silk thread in knitting machine.
3. Good gloss. DTY itself also has the characteristics of good gloss, so it is generally used in high-grade shirts or suits and quilt materials for textile use. Because of the good gloss of the finished products spun by polyester low-elastic silk, it is more conducive to the cleaning of the cloth, can reduce pollution, and is easier to remove stains and wash in the cleaning process.


Advantages of FDY

1. High strength. The strength of short fiber is 2.6 ~ 5.7cN/dtex, and that of high strength fiber is 5.6 ~ 8.0cN/dtex. Because of its low hygroscopic property, its wet strength is basically the same as that of dry strength. Impact strength is 4 times higher than nylon, 20 times higher than viscose fiber.
2. Good elasticity. The elasticity is close to wool, and it can recover almost completely when it is extended by 5% ~ 6%. Wrinkle resistance is more than other fibers, that is, the fabric does not wrinkle, good dimensional stability. The modulus of elasticity is 22 ~ 141cN/dtex, which is 2 ~ 3 times higher than that of nylon. Polyester fabric has high strength and resilience, so it is fast, durable, wrinkle resistant and free of ironing.
3. Heat resistant polyester is made by melt spinning, the formed fiber can be heated and melted again, belonging to thermoplastic fiber. The melting point of polyester is relatively high, and the specific heat capacity and thermal conductivity are smaller, so the heat resistance and heat insulation of polyester fiber are higher. It's the best synthetic fiber.
4. Good thermoplasticity, poor fusible resistance. Polyester has the best heat resistance among synthetic fabrics because of its smooth surface and tight internal molecular arrangement. It is thermoplastic and can be made into pleated skirts with long-lasting pleats. At the same time, polyester fabric has poor melting resistance, and it is easy to form holes when it meets soot and sparks. Therefore, wear should try to avoid contact with cigarette butts, sparks and so on.
5. Good wear resistance. The wear resistance is second only to the best wear resistance nylon, better than other natural fibers and synthetic fibers.
6. Good light resistance. Light resistance is second only to acrylic fiber. Polyester fabric is better in light resistance, in addition to being worse than acrylic, its sun resistance is better than natural fabric. Especially in the glass behind the sun fast ability is very good, almost equal to acrylic fiber.
